News from Kingston I : FC Beercelona
the season is finally here; the league has started!
was supposed to be part of my Harkness Hall team, but the team got inflated with increasing recruitment of non-Harkness international students, so in the end we formed two teams. and by random luck i was slotted into the team of mostly non-Harkness people. which is good cuz this team is a joy to play with. fast flowing football, committed individuals, exciting passing game. thoroughly enjoyable.
and this team is a funny one. we all speak english, but we usually need two attempts to understand one another when conversing. two germans, one scot, two englishmen, one french, one finnish, one singaporean chinese and two indians from smu. and we usually celebrate our FC Beercelona victories with a good toast of beer. actually no because no one wants to bring the beer.
anyway FC Beercelona had won its first game 3-0 two sundays ago, and yesterday powered to a 11-1 victory! table toppers right now!
